-the spice starts early in the trilogy while the relationship takes much longer to build, just how I like it

Let me start by saying there are definitely triggers in this trilogy that you need to pay attention to before deciding to read this story. There's mental and physical abuse, dubcon, noncon, murders, etc.

If you're a lover a dark romance, you're going to love these men. I have to say that this author did a good job of somehow keeping me on the edge between loving and hating them. Call me crazy I guess, but I loved them more than I hated them. They could be cruel, no doubt about it, but Jesus when they decided they actually cared for her, it was a sight to behold. And the epilogues, so freaking sweet, I'm totally here for those epilogues!!

Because this is a dark romance with triggers, I loved that the authors spent so much time on character development and relationship building. Because of the types of men these guys are and what they did to Story, I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much if they all started falling in love early on, but the authors didn't do that. We definitely got to see the slow build of feelings. And we got to watch these damaged men try to understand/struggle with those feelings as well. And I loved it. The stalker plot, and the royalty plot, honestly, it was interesting, but I could take it or leave it. I just want more of our characters lol

I actually really enjoyed our heroine, I didn't feel like she was a pushover. She knew when to fight back and she knew when to keep her mouth closed to play it smart. And she got some revenge on the guys throughout the trilogy. I'd say she was a pretty strong character.

Now, while I loved our characters, I could give this trilogy 5 stars for the spice alone!! Holyyyy crap yall, I haven't read a book that had me squirming in my seat for a while now, and this didn't disappoint. My favorite scenes in RH books are, of course, the sharing scenes, and by God these two authors know how to write a group scene!!!! Holy fuck, I need them to write a book that is strictly dedicated to nothing but group scenes because I would purchase it. Top notch writing in those scenes, for sure!

There were quite a few editing errors but I was able to overlook them.
