Message Deleted

dark
emotional
mysterious
fast-paced
Okay, Message Deleted was one of those books that grabs you from page one and does not let go. K.L. Slater really knows how to twist your brain in all the best ways. This was fast paced, creepy in the right places, and packed with tension..
The story kicks off with Saffy, who’s just trying to go to a job interview like a normal person, when she gets this chilling message from her best friend Leona:
“Can’t speak… don’t text or call… please just come.”
And then boom. It’s gone. “This message was deleted.” Like WHAT. You feel that panic right away!!
I especially loved how the chapters ended on mini cliffhangers. It’s that “just one more chapter” kind of book, and before you know it, it’s 3 a.m. and your tea’s gone cold. Also, the ending? Chef’s kiss. Super satisfying and still left me thinking about it after I finished.
If you’re into psychological thrillers that are sharp, and twisty, this is your next read. Just… maybe turn your phone off first. 😅📱
