I really enjoyed this book! Lots of different threads to follow and I have to admit.. some not making sense to me, but maybe I need more time to process what I've read 😅
This follows Maggie and Ed who are expecting a baby, are broke and deciding to move back to their home time from London.
And Phil, Maggie's best friend, his pining for his housemate Keith and his partner Louis. We also get the perspective of Phil's mum, who has cancer.
& A whale is stuck in the Thames? 🐋👀
Some uncomfortable parts in this book, particularly for the character of Phil (- see content warnings).
Overall I really liked this book, I think it's was quite similar to the style of Sally Rooney's novels.
