Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt
4.0

What if you could live forever?

This classic novel is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a new audiobook edition narrated by actress Alexis Bledel. This was a re-read for me and I enjoyed it again. Alexis did a great job narrating and she was very pleasant to listen to, her voice is very calming.

If you have never read Tuck Everlasting, you should, but a short synopsis is a 10 year old girl named Winnie Foster meets the Tuck Family who drank from a spring and can live forever.  We follow Winnie’s adventures with the Tuck family, but soon a man in a yellow suit shows up searching for the Tucks, and he will stop at nothing until he finds them and uncovers their secret.

I enjoyed the story of Tuck Everlasting, but I do wish it was a bit longer. I feel like things wrap up quickly and more should have happened in the plot. That being said, I think you should give this classic a read/listen in September and enjoy the audiobook with Alexis Bledel.

Thank you Macmillan Audio and Netgalley for an advanced copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
