The London Underground series is about lowborn women and highborn boys. I’m not so much of a fan of this series as the “rakes” of the London ton have very few redeemable qualities in my opinion. So I’m just not a fan of the male characters the way I have been of the males on her other series.
The female character of this novel is a swindler. When the male character discovers he’s been swindled, he agrees to help her find the partner that cheated her to get his “blunt” back. In the process going to all sorts of spaces in London where he’s out of his element and has to defer to her street savvy to get by. Somewhere along the way he falls in love with her bravery and she falls in love with his concern for her welfare.
