I can't quite believe I've waited so long to read this book (or actually anything by Colleen). I think I'm on the stubborn side and tend to read it when it's something I want as opposed to because it's trending. Either way I'm so glad I eventually read it.

Lily's story was so powerful and one that truly resonates with me on a personal level for the exact same reason why Colleen noted she wrote the book.

I don't think people truly see how much domestic abuse can effect the children if they don't see it directly, but this shows how much it can still effect the children even into adult life.

I honestly love Lily as a character and I think she's a strong and bold woman. I think her and Emerson deserve better than Ryle and I truly hope in the next book they find that with Atlas.
