The first half of this book was really promising, but the second half was a soap opera in a bad way. Every time I thought the book was going to end, another not-so-clever twist was interjected like a tv show that should have ended 5 season ago. I like twists in my books, but this was just too much. The author has potential, and will hopefully display more refined storytelling and nuance in the next publication.
