Clive Cussler's The Devil's Sea by Clive Cussler
4.0
At least you know what you are getting when you pick up a Dirk Pitt novel. And this one delivered the expected wild plot, techno babble, multiple bizarrely impractical coincidences required to drive the story forward, a heroic save and death for the bad guys. This time the bad guys are rogue Chinese military intent on attacking the US and Taiwan, while Dirk Pitt and his trusty sidekick, Al Giordino, stumble into the middle of things and save the world. Quite a fun, fast read.
