The premise is every parent's worst nightmare - Harriet's little girl Alice disappears from the local primary school fête when she was supposed to be being watched by Harriet's best friend, Charlotte Reynolds. A massive man-hunt is launched, but no trace of the little girl is found. As the book unfolds, more is discovered about Charlotte and Harriet's pasts and nothing is quite as it seems. A thrilling novel and I will be following this author's work closely.
