Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller

5.0

I was surprised at how much I liked enjoyed this book. After seeing it all over TikTok, I was worried that the book would be a modern teenager playing pirate, but that was not the case. This is a pirate novel. Alosa is a pirate captain who runs a crew of female pirates under the flag of her father, the pirate king. Alosa is a strong character, who is constantly underestimated by her male counterparts. She is sent undercover by her father to find a map hidden by a pirate rival. There is a romance with a rival pirate and supportive female crew. If you like Pirates of the Caribbean and YA novels this book is for you. I give it 4.5 stars!
