After That Night by Karin Slaughter
4.0

Have you read any of the author’s books? If you are a fan and into crime suspense genre, you will definitely like this one!

Sara Linton’s life seems perfect. She is a successful doctor, engage to be married to the man she loves and somehow escape her past. It was fifteen years ago when she was violently attacked after a celebratory night. Until the evening when a woman, Dani Cooper, was brought to her ER, badly beaten and attacked, died while she was saving her life. As the police investigates this tragic incident, it is no doubt that Dani’s assault is connected to Sara’s and this past is trying to come out and doesn’t going to stay buried forever.

The author can really write a good suspense thriller book. This is my 4th book of her and pretty much enjoyed her books. This is a tough and brutal read, the details might beard to stomach so proceed with caution. The author can write very unlikable characters and really fit into the narratives of her story. My only comment as I have with all her books that I’ve read is it’s too long. There chapters are long and there are way too many words that tends to drag your reading and get you bored. Though overall, it’s a good one but not for binge read.
