I found this part of the series to be the most impressive art-wise (so far). Carey Pietsch put a lot of love into every single drawing, and the creativity shines in so many places where I wondered how the audio medium would be translated into a graphic one — and it just worked wonderfully.
Theloop attempts being signified by chapters, resulting in jumping from chapter 7 to chapter 108, the gaps in Taako’s memory when talking to the chalice being just actual visual static , just *chefs kiss*. Absolutely brilliant stylistic devices in this. Even the use of page and panel layout was refreshing to me, and that they were used so cleverly as stylistic and storytelling devices, truly very impressive. Having the moments from the lunar interlude also interspersed between loop attempts was so clever too. Just absolutely love how this arc of the podcast was brought to the page. Especially since I didn’t enjoy the Eleventh Hour that much when listening to it.
My absolute favorite moment though and absolutely favorite pagespread was seeing “You’re going to be amazing.” Some truly gorgeous pages right there.
