I really enjoyed this book! It was a fun read and good to get out of a reading slump. There were some parts where more elaboration would've been good. Athlen and Tal's first meeting for one. There was development in their relationship but right from the beginning you knew how it would end with them and I feel like it could've used more of an exposition and more of them actually getting to know one another, but that could just be me since I prefer slow burn and it all happened so quick. I also feel like the plot at the end was a little too rushed, the entire plot of the book was leading up to this big political moment and the climax fell a little short. But as I said, great book, love the characters, love the world. One of my favorite things in literature are LGTBQ characters just not being a big deal; it's just  there and it's normal, like any other romance, and we got that here. Would definitely recommend.
