The Downhill Hiking Club by Dom Joly

5.0

Having been a fan of Dom Joly and the quotes that we used to spout from Trigger Happy TV in the 00's, and having a book prompt to read "written by a comedian" and a plan to "read round the world" I thought that I'd dive into this book head first.

I really enjoyed the writing style, and not realising that he has written many other travel books, I will certainly be looking them out. The story has everything in it that one wants from a book written by a comedian, and gave me a taste as to what the country of Lebanon really is like, and it sounds beautiful I'll pack my bags soon! :)

Really would recommend this book, and its also made me realise that I really love a true story/autobiography to read over some novels. I think I've maybe found my preferred genre!
