I just don’t care about really any of the characters. It’s really hard to establish a sense of place with all the vaulting between POVs. I’ve read stories where seemingly unconnected characters find their way together in a way that makes sense and is done well. I think this book does that, if you strip it down to the bones of the plot. However, all the extra characters, side quests, and odd romances really muddied this book for me, and I just don’t have time to commit to almost 26 hours of audio.
