I was not enjoying this book until about the 30% point. It was just...boring? And the characters were so typical that they didn't interest me. The first half of the book goes between narrative and investigation interviews. But once you realize the plot, jokes, characters are meant to be over the top and satirical, it's enjoyable. I found myself invested in the mystery.
