challenging inspiring reflective slow-paced
A brilliant allegory, very near scriptural parable in my opinion. I could see the seedlings and first inklings of Narnia woven into the story, which was delightful. I LOVED that the edition I read had an author's reflection where Lewis reviewed his work and openly criticized his own shortcomings and recognized where he could have done better or been more clear. It made me crave an author's reflection at the end of every book I ever read, I wish it was a more popular practice.
