I devoured this in a day. Maybe this novel was supposed to be more of a comfy-cozy, but I found Sasha's predicament to be eerily relatable, and it was striking a nerve with me. If anything, I wish this book was fuller--I'd love to see this expanded to show generational effects of wealth vs poverty in the microcosm of the nuclear family's psychology, but alas, I know this is not that kind of book.
