I have never read a novel where the toxicity of a religion in a very traditional town is the main point, until this one, and it was so good. This book did a fantastic job showcasing how women are always suffering because of the views of "traditionalists" who incriminate anyone who isn't following their views.
I deeply related to Leah in terms of her relation with God and religion in itself. It was well written and I found myself not being able to stop reading. I really loved the plot twist which added some depth to Leah's character, she is really multifaceted due to her living in town where she doesn't fit in and it well written and used for the plot.
