Excellent prose and extensive world building. I love the mystery built with this book and I look forward to exploring it throughout the series. That being said, I do hope that the female characters are able to grow stronger and find their own hopes and goals throughout the series other than “wow, I loveeee kellhus so much”, or “wooww I want achamian more than anything.” Things seemed promising for Esmenet at the end in that regard.
