The Masks We Burn by Lee Jacquot

4.0

Ok so this book has a little bit of everything...enemies to lovers, fake engagement, and those tension filled spicy scenes we love! Amora hates William, every since an unfortunate incident at a high school party. William needs Amora's help in order to join an underground MMA club her dad runs. She only decides to help him because she can use him to get her overbearing mother off her back. I was a new reader to Lee Jacquot before the Emerald Falls series. But I fell in love with these characters and their story lines.

After reading books 1 and 2, I wasn't sure how much I was going to like William and Amora's story. I didn't really like him from the other books and she was harder to connect to but I was pleasantly surprised once I started reading... I was hooked after the first chapter! William is such a ham, I ended up really loving him and adding a new book boyfriend to my list!

There were so many little things about this book and even the series as a whole that drew me in and kept me entertained. Well worth the read!!! I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review, all opinions are my own.
