This novel was mediocre, substandard and boring as f. I really liked the premise of the book and some of its issues it explored, however, it was lacking in just about everything. I liked hearing from Joe's perspective, however, it wasn't anything amazing. I didn't really like any of the characters either, including those being murdered, especially Beck. I rather her dead.
This book did raise some good topics including the use of social media and technology in our society but failed to deliver it in a more shocking, thrilling manner. The major thing that I can think of that was wrong with this book is that I didn't think it was interesting. I should have been shocked when Joe invaded Beck's privacy, but I wasn't. I was shocked, however, by the crude, sexual descriptions that were given, which I gladly enjoyed the original description. This was also great to hear, being narrated in second person. This perspective didn't really scare me which was really disappointing.
