The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune

5.0

"Sometimes, he thought of himself in a house in a cerulean sea, you were able to choose the life you wanted. And if you were the lucky sort, sometimes that life choose you back."

This story is a serotonin booster. I love the characters so dearly I'd never forget them and will hold them close in my heart.

This is a story about fierce love and acceptance. How children are so resilient and full of love, and we need protect them and teach them that they're capable of so many great things.

And more importantly, this story teach me how to be brave to choose and listen to our heart, and that home isn't always a house we live in, it's also the people we choose to surround ourselves with.

"Our prejudices color our thoughts when we least expect them to. If we can recognize that, and learn from it, we can become better people."
