I really enjoyed this book. I'm usually not a fan of love triangles, but the premise felt believable. I've read about real cases where soldiers were presumed dead and later returned to find their spouses had moved on. The psychological complexity of navigating that situation was fascinating. Taylor Jenkins Reid excels at writing characters in difficult circumstances.
However, I was disappointed by the movie adaptation after watching it right after finishing the book.
