keychild 's review for:
Eyes Guts Throat Bones
by Moïra Fowley-Doyle
It had me at the cover, quite honestly. I recommended it to a friend about two stories in, and I stand by it now that I've read them all. It's beautiful, atmospheric, strange, wild. It's a feminine kind of horror, and I would like more of it.
On a nerdy formatting note: I really like that the contents list isn't in page order—it's so easy to do a sectional short story collection and have those sections neat and chronological, but not here. Here, it's all jumbled together. Tangled. Perfection.
