Nightwing #2 by Javier Fernandez, Tim Seeley, Javier Fernández

5.0

Well this came out of nowhere , i mean the Nightwing stories so far have been below average with both the Rebirth oneshot and the previous edition being portrayed very badly but this was a much much better installment as we had the old Nightwing cracking jokers , making references to his robin days and pointing flaws in them all the time also referring to his various relationship in the Bat-family , the Father-son one with Bruce , the Love-life with barbara etc .

The plot progressed real nicely with some well played out action sequence and the new partner looks really douchebag but at the same time interesting , I do find it hard to believe that Nightwing the heir to Batman is having difficulties in landing punches to this Raptor guy .

That said while the plot in the story progressed well i failed to see any overall plot of the arc as of yet and with the first crossover title involving Nightwing - The Monster Men series approaching next month i am worried things may get messier in this story arc

During the launch of rebirth Tim Seeley promised his Nightwing run would be better than the Batman run , surely it hasn't done enough in regards to displacing Detective Comics as the best Bat-story but for this week atleast it has surpassed expectations and well beaten Tom King's Batman but it's as much due to the flaws in Tom King's Batman portrayal and story as Tim Seeley's excellent story here, waiting to see what happens during the next issue
