Obsidienne
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I did not expect much from this book. I chose to start reading it without thinking too much and I enjoyed it !
From the first pages we find a lot of “clichés”, the shy girl, with a lack of confidence. The handsome neighbor, beautiful and sexy as hell, mysterious and of course extremely arrogant. But I assure you, you have to go through these “clichés”.
The writing is fluid, this book is really addictive. Little bit by little bit, we learn more about these mysterious neighbors, Daemon Black (yes even the names are “clichés” …) and his twin sister Dee. We quickly suspect that something is not normal. It’s difficult not to think of twilight in some scenes, but I must say that I prefer the mood and the story of Lux for now.
Once the mystery around Daemon and Dee is revealed (and it’s pretty surprising, it’s original (don’t read the book description on goodreads if you don’t want to be spoiled)), the action can start, the plot is really entertaining!
I really liked this first book, an addictive reading, characters that are quite pleasant, I will obviously read the rest of this series (which has 5 books I believe, without counting parallel novels to the basic story)
