Half-Moon Investigations by Eoin Colfer

3.0

Ha, I can finally say again that I read a book for school! It's pretty funny and quick-paced, with some plot holes that won't bother the 5th grader for whom it is intended. Apart from the humorous tone, it actually deals with some pretty serious stuff, and has a few deeper running themes, like people are often not what they seem to be, and there can be many different reasons for people to make wrong choices. I enjoyed reading it with my 5th grade student in mind.
