This was a fast, fun, easy read. I liked Angel; she wanted to be the proper daughter, the proper fiancee, but  she just wasn't. Instead she was was a free spirit who rescued dogs, had a smart mouth, and liked a challenge. At first Simon seemed like a great choice, then he was a nice guy who was the wrong guy, but he was going to do the right thing because it was the right thing to do. You can't be mad at that. Then there's James. James was trying to overcome his reputation and helping his cousin out at the same time. He just so happened to fall in love with his cousin's girl while helping him. But it worked out because Angel wasn't really in love with Simon and Simon wasn't really in love with Angel. Angel's dad knew it; Angel's mom did not. James' and Simon's grandmother knew it. There were some genuinely funny moments that had me laughing out loud and some frightening moments that had me holding my breath. In the end, Angel and James ended up together and it is implied that Simon ended up with Lily. An enjoyable read.
