Five Gold Rings by Kristen Bailey
1.0
This was just too all over the place to really get into. I just started to skim in self defense at the 50% mark. Eve and Joe had zero chemistry.
Full review: Keeping this short. You start off the book with the character of Eve finding out that she's been cheated on and then it tries to pivot to some comedy romance with a new person (Joe) on the scene (that she knew) who apparently has been in love with her for about a year plus.
Eve was not well developed. I don't know what her whole thing was about not telling her family about her boyfriend, except in the cases when she did. It was inconsistent and goofy. And then the whole book felt like she was mourning him, and then all of a sudden she wasn't. I think that the book should have skipped forward in time or something, because this all happening in about 3 days did not work at all.
Joe was a non-entity.
Skip this one.
