This was an engaging story with multiple POVs and some small jumps back and forth in time, as well as a few different storylines going on.  It acutally reminded me a bit of a short story I read way back in high school - Dangerous Game.  Lots of interesting characters who behave in twisty and wild ways, and things get tied up well in the end.
