The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism by Naomi Klein

5.0

Normalize taking 9 months to finish a book

This book is insane. So well-researched, and Naomi Klein is so good at taking really dense economic concepts and making it so that I (economically illiterate) can understand them. I think it took me so long to read because it’s genuinely stomach-churning. But so worth it, and I feel like it really gave me a deeper understanding of global capitalism/US interventionism/etc
