SCREAMING.
How.
Just. How.
I went into this thinking “oooh, I’ll probably like this book; it’s solid. I love the vibe and the plot and the characters.”
No. The feeling I have right now transcends all of that. This is definitely one of my favorite books this year. Up there with The Scarlet Alchemist as EPIC to the EXTREME.
Please. Just go into this blind and read it.
The inner workings of Katherine Quinn’s mind have exploded my own brain. And while I suspected and predicted a lot of the “twists,” they were so brilliantly put together that I can’t fault a single thing. I am enthralled by this world that Quinn has created and I cannot believe I need to wait for the next book.
Jude was my favorite. Gods, give me a beautiful soul who has been torn down and battered his whole life and I will love that man. My heart. Everything single thing we learned about him made me love him more and more. All his darkness and his strength.
And Kiara, while a bit more stereotypical at the beginning, was a beacon of hope for Jude and I loved her stubbornness, her faith in her friends, and her fear of being accepted. I loved both of them - SO much.
So please, go read this book. THIS is the book that should be streaming on all TikTok’s and bookstagrams - it deserves hype. So go hype it. I am off to do just that.
