Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

adventurous challenging dark emotional mysterious

5.0

This book has moved up to my top ten favorites. The writing was exceptional, especially the setting. You do not realize how much a setting is important to a story until you feel like you are living in this world that you can not only perfectly visualize in your head but feel like you are a part of. The setting, Shaker Heights, is a key to this story. The characters are exceptional.

Though the ending did feel rushed, and though at times I felt there was no concrete plot, somehow I read this book in mostly one sitting. You get tied up in this life of the Warrens and Richardsons that it becomes so enticing, again due to Celeste Ng's ability to create characters and absorb you in a fictional world.
