While the connections to the cosmere are great, the Trell/Autonomy big baddies situation feels very disconnected and shoehorned from the rest of mistborn era 2. Era 2 never really works primarily since there isn't a big overarching plot that feels designed from the beginning, but lots of retroactive connections being made. The Ghostbloods being more fleshed out is great though, especially comparing them here to what they are like in Stormlight. It left me more excited for the cosmere in general that it did leave me enjoying the book itself. That all being said, the action and pacing were good, the magic was good, the characters were all good, and the reveals all mostly worked.
