I feel like I waited FOREVER for this book to come out, and then the goddess that is Marie Maravilla gifted me with an arc so I didn’t have to wait even longer. I can’t wait for my preorder to also come in so I can reread it and tab everything. This was my favorite in the series. Dex and Nikki are the same kind of crazy, and they were made for one another. Their chemistry was off the charts fire, this was a sloowww burn, but my goodness was it worth it. It was also equal parts hilarious, and heart wrenching, and I love the balance Maravilla finds between the two. I also love how she writes women. There are no damsels in distress here, her women can save themselves, and their men have the privilege of being by their sides. I highlighted a ton, but one quote I loved, and need to share is “you’re not looking to be a good girl. I have a feeling you got tired of being called that a long time ago” now I love a “good girl” as much as the next girl, but what’s even hotter is a man who knows you to your core, and is willing to give you exactly what you need instead of what you think you want. Dex is another level of book boyfriend, and I’m obsessed with him. Oh! Also her chapter titles are amazing, hilarious, wonderful, brilliant and all other synonyms you can think of. Petition to always have unhinged chapter titles in every book moving forward!!
