I really think Pax and this book, the sequel, should be read a single complete story for closure. This was the perfect conclusion and an incredible story about moving through grief.
I loved every chapter and felt the pacing was perfect. A beautiful read, not just for children but for anyone trying to understand grief or  come to terms with loving an animal.
