Gargantis by Thomas Taylor

Not as fun as the first, this feels very repetitive, same characters, same location, kinda the same plot... There is a reason why authors, especially fantasy authors, like to move their characters around to different locations... we have seen all the places in this little town already, so spending more time in Herbie's basement, the book dispensary, the pub on the pier, is just boring... I was bored. Sorry.
Add to that the fact that all the adults feel even more cartoony than in the first book and all the remaining interest I had evaporates.
like a room full of adult fishermen are like 'we will sacrifice, aka kill, two kids for the good of the town, har-har'... seriously?? So dumb.

Read 2/3 of this book and then gave up, I will not be continuing with the series, cause it's called "the legends of eerie-on-sea" or whatever, so that presumably means all the books take place in this one little town, with the same kids running around same places.
