Leah on the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli

4.0

"I hate when assholes have talent. I want to live in a world where good people rule at everything and shitty people suck a everything."

Now that I have thought about it some more, I think my rating is more like 3.5 stars.

I have been so excited to read this ever since it was announced! I loved Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda!
But the more I thought about it, there was just something about this book that bugged me, I can't really pinpoint what it is though. The writing confused me at times with the transitions, like they would suddenly be outside when they were just sitting down inside, and I didn't even realise they left.

There were a lot of times I loved Leah! She was funny and sincerely loved her friends so much! But at the same time she kind of annoyed me. Like some of the ways she talked and interacted with the other characters just felt weird to me, and kind of unnatural.

Overall I really enjoyed reading this book! It was fun to read!
