Luck of the Draw by Kate Clayborn

5.0

The story
Zoe, one of a trio of friends that won the lottery and split the winnings, gave up her job as a lawyer and is ready for an adventure. Except she isn’t really getting around to creating this adventure. Filled with guilt and regret, she starts tackling a series of actions to atone. First up is an apology to the O’Leary’s whose settlement she handled after the death of their son from an overdose. They’ve moved home and their son Aiden, isn’t keen to accept any apology. Instead, he offers the chance to do a good deed for him, which changes both his and Zoe’s lives.

My thoughts
Kate Clayborn has the ability to suck me into her fictional worlds and not let go. I loved reading Zoe and Aiden’s story. They come to each other in a grumpy-sunshine relationship, faking a relationship and engagement and of course falling for each other along the way. Their banter is fierce and fiery and they don’t take any nonsense with each other. I love the way they help, admire and are honest with each other. This is book two in a beautiful series, and I can’t wait to read book three. ❤️
