3.5 stars!

Texting Titan is a sweet college football romance between Denver and Avery, who meet at a party freshman year, but one phone call means they miss out on dating and get a second chance two years later.

Avery and Denver kiss at a college party, but when Denver’s phone rings, his teammate Kyle swoops in and steals Avery. Denver knew from that night that Avery would be it for him, so waited patiently for Avery and Kyle to split. But when he discovers Kyle’s cheating ways, he decides to take matters into his own hands to anonymously text Avery to let her know. They strike up a friendship, getting to know each other through text, with her calling him Titan, as that’s his dream team to play for in the NFL if he goes pro. After Kyle and Avery split, Avery decides it’s her mission to discover Titan’s true identity, with her and her roommate Kayley going to games to guess the player behind the texts. When Denver reveals himself, they quickly start dating and spending time together, falling fast. Denver and his mother help Avery out with family matters and Avery and Denver realise they want a future together. But Denver’s keeping secrets from Avery, relating to that phone call at the party. Will he let Avery in completely, or will these secrets mean he loses her for good?

Texting Titan was a super easy read, I read it all in one day. It was a cliché college football romance, but that’s exactly what I needed to read at the time. I enjoyed how Denver knew he liked Avery from the start, although I don’t know how realistic his faithfulness is. He would do anything for her, which was really sweet. Avery got slightly annoying with her inability to trust, but after being cheated on, it was understandable. The twist was predictable, but it didn’t take away any of my enjoyment in the story. The secondary characters helped add to the story, Kayley, Avery’s roommate and Denver’s mum were there for them both to lean on and get advice when needed.

The ending was sweet and their HEA was as picture perfect as I was expecting. I would recommend Texting Titan for a quick Sunday afternoon read!
