This book took me on a rollercoaster ride! In the beginning, I didn’t quite understand why he felt so determined to take his own life. Once the story unfolded, it was easy to see why Ove is who he is. I appreciate the roles of the secondary characters and how they helped shape over into a healthier state of mind.
At first I did not like Ove but as the story progressed, I definitely fell in grandpa love with him. The author did an amazing job as showing us how Ove’s life shaped him to be who he is but his neighbors help shape him into someone a little different.
