Once in a Lifetime by Harper Bliss
5.0

4,5 stars. I am not a big Harper Bliss fan. There is always something missing for me in her books. I love erotic books and she can write them! But it lacks something. And after reading this very good book, I finally noticed what.
First let me say again that I give this one 4,5 stars. I loved the fact that the MC’s were are ready in love. And that we get to read 11 or 12 years of there life starting from their tearful breakup to them getting married. I loved it that we got to see them struggling to find new romantic partners but reading between the lines that they already had a soulmate. I loved it that we read about their (sex) life together in the year before the break-up. The sex is bsdm with a lot of spanking and tying up. So if you are not up to reading that, you will have to skip the sex scenes.
So I loved all that. And I hope there will be more books about MC’s that were together but lost each other to get back together again. Maybe that’s why I love At seventeen and Love Waits by Gerri Hill, Turn back time by Radclyffe, Strawberry Summer by Melissa Brayden and Forever Found by JLee Meyer so much.
But I digress. The longing, the waiting, the fire that is underneath the longing, the hurting, the wanting, the angry but needing that I feel between the MC’s in above mentioned books is what makes me feel the build up while I’m reading these books. There are a couple of writers for me that can make me feel that almost in all their books (Gerri Hill, Jae, Meghan O’ Brien, Lee Winter, E.J. Noyes, Melissa Brayden to mention a few) That is what I’m missing in Harper Bliss’ books. I don’t see/feel/read the little touches, sensual stares, dirty talking. And that makes a book
