This book is a fascinating historical insight into not only the card and sticker set, but some of the production and politics of the original series at the time. Plus it comes with 4 bonus new cards, three of which feature Sulu, which is great, since he didn't make any of the cards in the original set for reasons no one knows according to the book. One of the interesting set of factoids in the book concerned reuse of costumes, props and matte paintings between Star Trek and other science fiction shows at the time such as Outer Limits and Twilight Zone. Another neat feature of the book was that in addition to displaying each card's front and back, there is commentary by the man who wrote the card summaries and captions and chose the shots, including background info on the framing, positioning, decision-making surrounding, etc. of the 35mm film capture. This book was a lot of fun for this Trekkie to read!
