honestly didn’t know what to expect in the second book to this series, after the huge plot twist. i wasn’t sure i would enjoy this, oh my goddess i was wrong. 

i love how centred on the mc we are. she is a strong well built character who i can’t get enough of. i love her flaws, her genuineness and strength. i love how we got to see a new romance bloom and how sweet and safe their relationship is. i loved the assassin group formed in the later part of the book. where they all have a sense of family with each other, it’s unbelievably cute. 

overall, the later part of the book was my favorite to read. the desert scene is absolutely my favourite, the tension and scenery is written so well. 

i loved the ending battle and how i could imagine the scenes playing out in my mind. 

in all, this book might’ve been more enjoyable than the first because of how attached i am to the characters!! i can’t wait to see where the next book in the series goes.
