Oh my goodness, this book! I enjoy a good thriller, but this one exceeded my expectations!! I had no idea where the story was going until the very end, I finished the book in two days, and I was satisfied with how it all ended. I usually peek at the end of my thrillers because I can't handle the suspense, but I was good this time and controlled myself. Except I may have been texting my husband every few minutes with my new theories and ideas 👀

Naomi, the character whose POV we see throughout the book, was just the right blend of flawed yet relatable. And there was a true crime podcast element that reminded me of Only Murders in the Building, only creepier.

All in all, I loved What Lies in the Woods! Try as I might, I could not figure out how the book would end and was invested in the story. I think thriller and true crime lovers will enjoy this book!
