Welp. Unlike my love for another of Juno’s books, this one was a rough read.
Before I get into that, I wanna say I’m super disappointed by other Goodreads users. I’ve noticed a bunch of users where their reviews were left semi recently and they dead name the author. Pretty sure the author transitioned well before their reviews were left and it’s not an innocent mistake they’re all making.
Back to the book at hand though. The writing was more flippant and superficial than I was hoping for. I know it’s YA but … still. Also all the ****** for Polly. Good god just tell us what she’s saying. That got to the point where it was distracting. Just tell us what she’s saying for god’s sake.
There were a lot of counts of rep that I’m glad for but idk this book wasn’t for me.
