Not Nevill’s best, unfortunately. I loved the concept of a documentarian getting sucked into a cult, but it got far too other-worldly. If it had

stuck in this century and not stretched centuries plural, or connected better with past centuries,

it would have been a better book. I wouldn’t recommend it over The Ritual.
