Shape of Memories by Kristofor Hellmeister

4.0

I was asked by the author himself to write a honest review about his book.

In the Shape of Memories we follow the main character named Tyler Grisham who is the alpha captain of a vessel named the 'Mayflower'.

The story starts with a conversation between Tyler and his wife Marla. The couple face a difficult period during their marriage and the sparks are nowhere to be seen anymore.Tyler focuses completely on his career to avoid facing his marriage problems.

His live is turned upside down when his vessel get caught in a cataclysmic debris ring. The Mayflower gets smashed down and the vessel shatters in pieces on the gloomy uninhabited planet named UP-117

Challenges appear on Tyler's path when he finds out that the crash separated him from his crew. Dedicated and thrown over by this new adventure that cross his life Tyler goes searching for his crew.

Faced by a bizarre encounter Tyler gets launched in the depths of the shapes of his own memories. The shape can transform into people who played a big role in his life like his wife Marla. Would this Marla be different than the one that he married?

I read a lot of science fiction books but this book was definitely unique in its sort. The ending of the book felt like a open ending to me. I would have liked to figure out more.

The Shape of Memories is a standalone book wich i also enjoyed.
