this was such a wonderful book, i wish i'd had this as a teenager. i can count the number of books with trans main characters i've read on one hand, and it gives me so much hope for the future knowing that kids are going to grow up with books like this one being more and more common. ya isn't my favourite genre but thomas's writing made me so happy, the characters are so relateable and loveable - and it was just overall a joy to read.
